Work Transitions

Making yourself indispensable to your employer is a pretty good strategy in today’s work market, especially when it is time to ask for a promotion.

A client of mine was lucky enough to be in such a position. He felt stuck in his current role, taken for granted, and underappreciated. He was eager to explore the possibility of assuming a position with more responsibility, and of course, a better salary, as he started getting on more tasks. He wanted to know what the new role at work would bring him.

For this question, I decided that a simple 3-card Tarot opening would suffice.

Jean Noblet Tarot, reconstructed by Jean Claude Flornoy.

“The new role will bring you a better thought-through position of agency, where you will be able to lean on your experience and use it to meet your peers on the same level”, I concluded.

“But why is this old guy looking back?” the client wanted to know, pointing to the Hermit card.

“He is assessing his experience. Hermit loves looking into the past, and right next to Temperance, he is eager to analyze it and reevaluate it. He measures out what was worth his while, and what could be cast away. Just like that, your new role will provide you with the opportunity to do just that, to meet your colleagues on the same level, and feel recognized and appreciated.” A smile of contentment crossed the client’s face.

In my opinion, the new role will be just what the doctor ordered.

Focused Reading
€65.00

A concise, targeted reading for a clearly defined question. This format is best suited for matters that are limited in scope—specific decisions, developments, or encounters that do not require broader contextual analysis.

The reading uses 5 to 6 cards and is typically presented in one of three structured formats, depending on the nature of your question:

  1. Line Reading: A 3-card line provides a concise response to your question, with two additional cards for enhanced clarity. Suitable for a wide range of queries.

  2. Do and Don’t Reading: Three cards explore your situation, while two advise on actions to take or avoid. This format highlights underlying influences and suggests the most constructive course forward.

  3. Choice Reading: Two rows of three cards each represent distinct options or directions. Ideal for those facing a choice that requires clear discernment.

Other variations may be used where appropriate, but these three structures address most focused questions with precision and clarity.

You may specify your preferred deck—Tarot, playing cards, Lenormand oracle, or Piatnik’s Gypsy Fortunetelling cards—or I can select the one most appropriate to your question.

To ensure a focused answer, please provide a clear, concise question along with any relevant context.
