We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

What we collect

Contact details. Name and email address, when you sign up for the newsletter, use the contact form, or book a reading.

Order and payment data. Name, email, billing details, and payment information, when you purchase a reading, course, or amulet. Payment is processed by Squarespace Payments, Stripe, PayPal, and similar providers, not by us directly. We do not see or store your card details.

The content of your reading. The question or situation you describe when you book a reading. We use this only to prepare and deliver your reading. If what you share touches on sensitive matters such as health or relationships, we use it for that purpose only.

Personal Reading Hour data. If you book a live session, we collect the scheduling details and record the session, as agreed when you book. The sessions are performed via Zoom and recorded. The recording is kept for two years and shared only with the client involved.

Technical data. Standard technical information collected automatically through cookies when you visit the site: IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited. See Cookies below.

Why we process this data

  • To fulfil your order. Preparing and delivering a reading, course, or amulet is a contract between us. We need your details to deliver the service.

  • To send the newsletter. Only if you sign up, and only until you unsubscribe. Based on your consent.

  • To run the site. Necessary cookies and basic technical data keep the site functioning securely. Legitimate interest.

  • To understand site traffic. Analytics cookies, only if you accept them in the cookie banner. Based on your consent.

  • To meet legal obligations. Invoices and payment records are kept for tax purposes under Dutch law.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

We share data with the following processors, only as needed to run the site and deliver your order:

  • Squarespace, Inc., which hosts the site, runs the checkout, and provides the built-in analytics and cookie banner. Squarespace is based in the United States. Transfers of EU data to Squarespace are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Squarespace's own privacy policy is at squarespace.com/privacy.

  • Squarespace Payments, PayPal, Klarna, and Link to process payments for orders.

  • Squarespace Campaigns, to send the newsletter.

How long we keep it

  • Newsletter contact details: until you unsubscribe.

  • Order, invoice, and payment records: seven years, as required under Dutch tax law.

  • The content of your reading question and the reading itself: 7 years.

  • Personal Reading Hour recordings: 2 years.

Cookies

Cookies are small files placed on your device when you visit a website. This site uses two kinds.

Necessary cookies. Required for the site to function, such as keeping items in your cart and keeping you logged in. These cannot be switched off and do not require consent.

Analytics cookies. Squarespace Analytics, which helps us understand how visitors use the site, for example, which pages are visited and whether a visitor has been here before. These are not essential and only run if you accept them in the cookie banner.

You can accept or decline analytics cookies through the banner shown on your first visit, and change your choice at any time through your browser settings. Declining cookies will not affect your ability to browse the site, book a reading, or make a purchase.

Your rights

  • Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you

  • Correct inaccurate data

  • Request deletion of your data

  • Restrict or object to certain processing

  • Receive your data in a portable format

  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal

To exercise any of these rights, email info@theuncrossedpath.com. We will respond within one month.

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens), autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

Security

We rely on the security measures built into Squarespace's platform to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

This site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time, for example, if we add a new tool to the site. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent update. Check back occasionally.
