Lectures

When a student is ready, a teacher appears

This is where I present my written lectures on traditional cartomantic systems. Each course lays out a structured method in full, intended for careful study and practical application.

Reading The 32 Playing Cards

A complete written course in cartomancy, moving from the foundations of the deck to a full General Tableau.

The goal of this course is not to be a collection of card meanings to be memorized. It is a system to be understood: how the suits divide experience, how rank operates across the deck, how context shapes function, and how a reader builds a coherent picture from 32 cards rather than reading them one at a time. By the end, you will be able to think with the cards and not depend on them.

Chapter 1 — Covering the Basics

Introduction: Where the system comes from and how it developed - from early gaming decks to the reduced 32-card format used in European cartomancy.

The Logic of the Suits: Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, Spades — the four primary divisions of lived experience. Each suit governs a distinct sphere, approached here as practical forces rather than esoteric ornament.

The Logic of the Numbers and the Court Cards: The second axis of the deck. This lecture traces the internal logic running through rank - pip cards 7 through Ace, and the three court figures.

Chapter 2 — The Sharp Cuts

The First Cut: Where a reading truly begins. The mechanics of cutting a 32-card deck, and the different ways a cut can be used.

The Second Cut: A more structured way of cutting the deck. Two methods, and what each one opens up - reading the piles for a general opening, and approaching a concrete question.

The Third Cut: The three-pile cut opens into a full reading map.

Chapter 3 — Hands-On Reading

A Cross Reading: A traditional cross formation, functioning as a standalone reading or as an introduction to a longer, layered session.

A Traditional Tableau: All cards on the table at once. A traditional four-row method covering both a temporal and a thematic approach, with a full demonstration reading.

A General Tableau With Counting: The complete method at full scale. All 32 cards in play, laid and read through a directional approach, then developed through a counting chain that reveals where things are headed.

Appendix

Playing Card Functions: A quick-reference list of all 32 card functions for use during readings.

Each purchase includes lifetime access to all nine lectures and the appendix. A consultation option is also available for those who want to bring their questions directly to the table.
